Neste artigo, rastreia-se a interação entre Agostinho e tratado aristotélico “Categorias” para além da passagem das “Confissões” agostinianas em que essa interação é explicitamente examinada. Por meio disto, procura-se conjeturar a relação entre Agostinho e uma das maiores fontes não-platônicas da filosofia clássica.
